  1. Love this, Alegria. The strange psychic connection between the narrator and the crow — the feeling of disappointment when the crow is taking a different path. Wondering, what is so important about this crow anyway? Why a crow and not some other bird? So much to think about …

    • “Psychic”, what an apt word to describe this developing relationship I have with crows in the neighborhood. They’re all I’m with in my solitary walks. Strange birds, how human they so seem! And then I read a book on the behavior of birds that says, of all the avians, the crows are closest to humans.

      In this ku, yes, indeed, it seemed the crow and I were trailing each other until it turned another way. I’ll post yet another ku on it.
