for a moment of joy or moments no one pays for, i give myself a ‘jornal’. this makes me rich. try it.

in the rain-haiku

It rained a bit today, fine like baby’s hair unlike the whoosh of sudden rain I got soaked in one afternoon at the Van Dusen gardens. For that memory and this haiku, I add another $500 for my ‘jornal’.

a sudden rain–

children run for shade

under the weeping spruce

    • Thanks again, Patrick. That moment struck me exactly like how this haiku goes. As well, imagine the children giggling uder the shade that was no shade, really. And when I looked at the label of the tree–all plants, trees at Van Dusen are labeled–I thought…
