haiku

It’s been a long time since I earned a ‘jornal’. For this first haiku moment in weeks I give myself $500 because of its element of surprise. It swept me on my quite walk this afternoon at Fraser River Park close to where I live. I hope you agree with me.

  1. I’m not sure I get your “jornals”, but I’m truly impressed by your haiku. You possess an innate understanding of the haiku nature.

I’m going to try to send some readers your way. You really deserve some.

    • Thank you, Patrick. Your kind words are salve for my often pained spirit. I’m amazed myself how these haiku moments wing by, and then distill the world I hardly can focus on.

My “jornales”? These are what I “pay” myself like a “wage”, which “jornal” means, a daily wage. Mere numbers I haven’t added up but might make me a millionaire in spirit someday!

I can’t thank you enough for liking my haiku.
